In 1988, Michael McKeegan (guitar/bass/vocals), along with his brother Charlie (drums), formed the death metal band, EVIL PRIEST. Originally just the two of them they recorded their first 'Pretention Is No Excuse' demo in 1988. By the following year a third McKeegan, Ciaran (guitar), had joined the ranks. And the band went on to record two more demos. 'Hear No Evil...' in 1989 and 'Hate Net' in 1990. The group disbanded soon after Michael McKeegan joined THERAPY? in 1989.
The 'Hate Net' was added to the B- Side of the 'Hear No Evil' demo cassette as a bonus.
Whether 'Hate Net' was actually released separately is unknown.
